Our Red Stamp Preset
Description: Second tutorial of three in creating this Beautiful Animated Stamp Tag
If you are using the red preset unzip it and extract it to your main Presets folder where you store all your downloaded presets.
To create this tag like shown above you must first create the stamp using this stamp tutorial.
Don't forget to save your work often!
1. New image: 400x400px, white, set up like this...
2. Click on the Path tool.
Set the Mode to 3D Round. If you are using your own color choice, open the Material box and on the Border/Depth & Light tabs use these settings below.
OR... if you are using our red preset, click twice on the preset to activate it.
Now, click on the Custom Shape section for the path tool, and find the heart shape.
Draw a heart 275x275 px.
Rclick, Center, Both.
3. If there are any creases in your heart, Rclick, Convert Object Type, from path/to image and use your Blur tool to smooth them out.
4. Click on the Stamp tool, and find the stamp you made with the Designing a Beautiful Stamp tutorial. Use the settings below to set up your stamp.
5. Make sure your heart is selected and go to Effect, Creative, Paint On Edges or use your keyboard command Shift+P.
6. Your stamp point at the bottom will be slightly off center. To fix this Click on Preferences, General, Guide Lines & Grid and set the numbers for 200 each.
Now click on the ruler at the bottom right of your PI workspace and activate the Grid. You should now see a cross over your image.
Click on the Transform tool, Rotate Freely, and use the handle to move the center bottom over to the Grid line.
Click on the Rotate Flip, Flip Horizontally once. The right side of your heart will now be a bit higher than the left and fit your heart's perspective like so below.
7. Turn off your Grid, and Click on the Path tool again.
The heart should already be selected so draw another heart 125x114 px. Use your Transform, Resize tool, unlocked to get these dimensions.
Now click on the Rotate Freely and give it a turn to the left like so...
Click on the Path tool and Rclick, Duplicate your heart. Change the Mode to 3D Pipe, and open the Material box above.
On the Border/Depth tab change the Border to 2, and click OK.
You now have a frame around your heart like so.
8. Click on the Pick tool, hold your Ctrl key down, and click on the center of your heart to select the small heart along with your frame. Rclick, Group these two parts.
Rclick, Duplicate.
Click on the Transform tool, Rotate & Flip, and Flip Horizontally and move into place like so below.
Your heart tag is finished.
You may want to add your name so Click on the Text tool, choose a font you like and type away! :)
Make it a Tube
Make sure everything is the way you want it to be, and click on the Eye at the top of the Layer Manager to hide the background, and Save it as a .psd (PhotoShop file) This is the same type of file as a .tub/psp as it keeps the transparent background. You may also save it as a png file. :)
