2. Draw 3 hairs on the side of her head any way you like. They will be squiggly! That only lends to the authenticity of being your own creation, so don't worry what the lines look like too much. :)

Final Touches

You need a few lighter places for highlight and effect, so set up your Dodge Brush like below and lightly touch the cheeks, arms, and lower body to highlight.

(Furry EC setting only)

To darken the furry tips select the body section, click on the Paint Brush and the color you started with only a bit darker. Set your paint brush up like this (with your color) and do a Paint on Edges to all the furry parts if yours needs it.

(Both)

Your bird may end up needing a bit of arranging or straightening now that she's created. Mine is a bit too tipped to the left, and I want to swing her head around a bit more.
Save, and then select all the parts except the feet and Rotate a bit to the right.
Now select all the head parts and tip them a bit to the left by rotating to the right. Deselect all parts and Save again. You are finished with your cute little bird.

Thank you for trying my tutorial. I hope you have enjoyed it. You should have a very good feeling about what you can accomplish in PI after doing all the steps required in this tutorial. :)

Make it a Tube

Make sure everything is the way you want it to be and R-click, Select all, Merge as Single Object.

Click on the Eye at the top of the Layer Manager to hide the background, and Save it as a .psd (PhotoShop file) This is the same type of file as a .tub/psp as it keeps the transparent background. :)
