Open a New White Image, 300x300px set up like this:
With the Path Tool, Custom Shape - Half Circle, 2D, color red, draw a half circle the size you want your ladybug to be. Mine is 140x70px. Use the Transform Tools' dimensions if you wish to have any exact size.
Rclick, Align, Center Both.
Rclick, Convert Object Type, From Text/Path to Image.
Retouch Tools, Burn, 30/100/100, burn around the edge.
Burn again using just the outside of the edge of the brush to really darken a bit of the edge more.
Click on the Dodge Tool, 30/100/100, and lighten the center and smooth out the inside some.
Blur Tool, 30/5/100, Smooth out so it looks natural.

* Start here if you have a Gel or a Jeweled Shell.
Selection Tool, Lasso, create a triangular selection like so. Rclick, Soften 1px. Click on the shell if it's not selected and hit the Delete key. Rclick, None. Don't forget to Save!
With the Paint Brush, Round, 2/0/50, color Black, Click on Effects, Creative, Paint on Edges (POE) and POE twice. (For the Jewel shell POE 3 times.)
Transform Tool, Rotate by Degrees set at 60°, click on the Right Arrow to rotate your lady.
Paint Brush, Change the size setting to 10px and make some round dots. Change to 20px and make some more.
Rclick Duplicate.
Click on the Transform Tool and Flip Horizontally.
Click on the Rotate by Degrees set at 60° and click the Left Arrow to rotate your second half into place. Change to the Pick tool and use your keyboard arrow keys to move this beside the other half and line up evenly.

Body & Head
Path Tool, Oval, 2D, Black, create an oval that is a bit longer than the shells length. Mine is 30x160px.
Move it over on top of the shell, and click the Transform by Degrees 30° to the Left and center it by eye on top of your shell.
With the Transform Tool, Perspective, stretch the top end outward to make the head. Line the tail end up with the shell's length.
Rclick, Arrange, Send to Back. Deselect.
Antennae
Path, Line & Arrow Tool, Spline, 3D, Black, create a curlicue for the antennae. Edit to make it nice and rounded if you need to.
Rclick, Duplicate. With the Transform Tool, Flip Horizontally, Freely Rotate, Rotate by Degrees 60°, click the Left Rotate Arrow and move it into place beside the other one with your keyboard arrow keys.
Path Tool, Round, 3D, Black, make a little circle 8x8px or what size looks good on the size you created. Place at the ends of your antennae like below. *GEL NOTE: If your 3D turns out 'redish', click on the Reset block (1st square) in the Material Gallery, Gel category.
Save one more time, and you are finished!
To Make it a Tube
Make sure everything is the way you want it to be and R-click, Select all, Merge as Single Object.
Click on the Eye at the top of the Layer Manager to hide the background, and Save it as a .psd (PhotoShop file) This is the same type of file as a .tub/psp as it keeps the transparent background. :)
