Description: Create a beautiful gold ding font butterfly!

1. Open the font, and minimize it to your task tray.
Unzip my gold presets, and import them to your Easy Pallet (now known as your EP).

2. Open a new image set up like below. Be sure to change the User Defined settings, and the Resolution User Defined settings like I have them here below.

3. Click on the Font tool, and up above, go to the end of the listed fonts to find the lpartdeco3 font. (For some reason my PI stores this font at the end of all the others.)
Set the font size to 100 pts. Mode is 3D.
Find and click on my Gold path (not line) preset in your EP to activate the preset.

4. Click on your Caps Lock, and on your image type the letters I, and J side by side. Click off the typed letters to set your "butterfly wings".

5. Click on the Transform tool. With the lock locked in the menu above enlarge your wings to 440 X 187 px.
Unlock the lock and stretch the top or bottom to 440 X 287 px.
R-click, Align, Center both.
Click on the Transform tool and use the icon above in the menu to Flip your wings Vertically.

6. Click back on the Font tool, and open the Material box above.
On the Bevel Settings tab, change the Width to 60, and the Depth to -10. Make sure the Smooth Spine is checked. Click on OK to apply. Click on your keyboard Enter key to deselect your wings object.

7. Click on the Path tool and select the Rounded Rectangle. If my preset is not selected for use, double click on it again to activate. Mode is 3D.
Create a long rounded rectangle 25 X 193 px long. Resize it if you have to.
R-click, Align, Center both. Move it over a couple pixels with your arrow key so it is more centered between the wings, and up to these dimensions on your EP object, X:208 and Y:94 as per below.

8. Click on the Edit button. Click on the Edit Point + sign and add 4 nodes like this below. I have my bfly zoomed in to 300 for editing.

9. Click on the bottom left node you just added and pull it inward just even with the edge of the wing. Now repeat for the opposite node.
Move up to the top nodes you added and line them up with the wings by pulling inward also like so.

10. On the bottom two nodes bring them up just a little bit to round out the end. Do the same to the top nodes like shown below.

Click out of Path Edit. Your b'fly body should now look like this. If not, re-edit until it's right, because it will show if it's not even with the lines of the wings on both sides.

10. In your Layer Manager click on the body object and drag it down under your wings object. Deselect the body.

11. Click on Adjust, Expand Canvas; put 70 in the top box and Apply.

12. Click on the Line and Arrow tool. Click on my gold line preset you imported to activate.
Change the Shape to Spline and draw a curved line for her antenna. You can curve it up or down or any way you would like. I chose this way for my butterfly and tutorial.

13. R-click, Duplicate, flip horizontally, and move over for the other side.

14. Change to the Path tool and draw a tiny circle for the antenna tip, and move into place at the end of the antenna.

15. R-click, Duplicate and move in to place at the end of the other antenna.

16. Select the body again and click on Adjust, Brightness & Contrast tool. Give the body some darkness by clicking on the bottom right selection three times like so. You are finished! Congratulations!

Make it a Tube

Make sure everything is the way you want it to be, and click on the Eye on the bottom layer in your Layer Pallet to hide the background, and Save it as a .png file. This is the same type of file as a .tub/psp as it keeps the transparent background. You may also save it as a psd file. :)

Feel free to contact me if you get stuck and need help!
